Dry Pastels
The dry pastels drawings presented below were carried out during the early years of Sylvie Chadourne's artist career, from 1990 to 1998. The artist taste for experimenting with different dry mediums such as dry pastels, sanguine, sepia, charcoal, carbon pencil (charcoal mixed with oil) and graphite had lead her to interesting textures and hues combinations. The visual style of her drawings were at the time largely influenced by the surrealism movement, and many compositions are the result of mental associations that occurred in a dreamy state of mind.
Some of the pastel drawings presented here are for sale. The artist only uses professional material for her artworks to guarantee their longevity. Each one is sold with its Certificate of Authencity.
